PT Sigma Utama and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) through the Deputy for Research and Innovation Utilization signed a license agreement related to the use Smart Magnetic Pigments and Anti Radar Detection Paint. The signing was witnessed by the Head of BRIN's Nanotechnology and Materials Research Organization (ORNM), Ratno Nuryadi, taking place at the BJ Habibie Building, Jakarta, on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
This collaboration was realized under support of BRIN, LPDP as the funding party and PT Pindad from the industrial sector as the end user.
President Director of PT Sigma Utama, Benny Frengki Simanjuntak, stated that this research is in line with the government's program to strengthen the national defense system and optimize local industries. He emphasized his commitment to continue developing and marketing this technology to benefit the country.
“We are proud to contribute product development for national innovation. Indonesia has many great talents, and with good cooperation between government, industry and academia, we can achieve technological independence,” Benny said.
