Semarang, March 19, 2025 - Diponegoro University (UNDIP) and PT Sigma Utama signed a cooperation agreement at the UNDIP Rectorate Building, Semarang. The event was attended by the President Director of PT Sigma Utama, Benny Frengki Simanjuntak, and UNDIP Rector, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, and other leaders. This cooperation aims to encourage the development of science and technology through the application of the tridharma perguruan tinggi, and strengthen the synergy between industry and academia.
President Director of PT Sigma Utama, Benny Frengki Simanjuntak, stated, “This collaboration is a strategic step to connect academic innovation with industry needs. We hope that this collaboration can create innovations that benefit the industry and the wider community, as well as provide opportunities for students to develop competencies through internships and joint research.”
UNDIP Rector, Prof. Suharnomo, emphasized the importance of cooperation between universities and industry in facing the challenges of the times. He said, “The synergy between academia and industry is the main key to achieving success in the current era.”
With this cooperation, both parties are optimistic that the collaboration will contribute to accelerating technological development and supporting national economic growth through the application of applicable research.
